Coral Collection

The whole time I was working on my coral display, the song "Under The Sea" from "The Little Mermaid" was running through my mind.

I have had the opportunity to go snorkeling several times in the Caribbean and see beautiful corals in their natural habitat.  They are truly amazing in their variety.

To add some whimsy to the display, starfish in vases were added.

Summers seem so short now that children go back to school in the middle of August.  I'm going to keep my coral display up till college football kickoff to make the summer stretch out for me.

You may have already figured it out, but most all my 'coral' is made from the floral department at Hobby Lobby, a couple of cans of Great Stuff Foam, and paint. Here is the post on the "how-tos"

I am posting this at
"No Minimalist Here--Open House Party"
and at "Tatertots and Jello Weekend Wrap Party"
 and SAS Interiors Party
and a blog party about collections (wonderfully written post and pictures by blog author)
my coral is not old but it is my little home-made collection
and at "Table Top Tuesday"

Beautiful display. I used to scuba dive, I thought that you had collected real coral, at first, and was "worried" for the environment. I'm glad this beautiful display shows the beauty of coral without harming it.
