Roadside Rescue Arrangement

Coming home from work recently, I saw a huge pile
of cut flowering pear tree limbs along the curb.
Who would have cut these gorgeous tree limbs down?
Well, these trees do have a bad reputation for
blowing down in strong winds so maybe
that is what happened.

Not wanting to add to MY reputation as the crazy
neighbor, I waited until near dark and then went to cut
the prettiest branches off of the pile and brought them home.
(is that even crazier?)

The branches seemed pretty happy sitting in water
in an urn on my dining room table.

Every year when these trees bloom it reminds
me of my daughter's bridal portrait photo shoot.
Unexpectedly, these trees were blooming when
we met with the photographer on the scheduled day.
The lines of the flowering trees along a sidewalk
made a beautiful arch of branches as a backdrop.

A lot of brides and their mothers probably feel like
a wedding is the ultimate DIY project.  Here is a
if you would like to see it and/or have five minutes to kill

The pear blossoms look gorgeous on your table. And your daughter's bridal photos are stunning. How fortuitous that the pear trees were blooming at the time of her portrait.
